Reading and saved stories
No account is required to read Daily Current. Search and category filters run in your browser. Theme preferences and saved stories use this browser’s local storage and are not sent to the editor. Remove bookmarks individually or clear this site’s browser data to remove them.
Hosting and images
Firebase Hosting delivers this website. Requests can include an IP address, browser information and the requested URL. Images hosted by external providers require requests to those providers, which receive technical information needed to display the image.
Direct sponsor advertisements
Direct ads display sponsor text and links. Daily Current does not use an ad network script, advertising cookies or its own impression/click tracking for these placements. Clicking an advertisement visits the advertiser’s website, where that operator’s privacy practices apply.
Google advertising
Google ad serving is paused. A saved AdSense verification tag or ads.txt record does not itself load advertising. If Google ads are enabled later, this notice and applicable consent controls must be updated before they are served. Google’s information practices are explained at Google’s partner-site privacy page.
Private editorial records
Drafts, original input text, permission records and rewrite history are stored in the owner’s local news desk and excluded from public exports. Accepted outputs are uploaded automatically while publishing is enabled. Required public licence credits are included with the published article. Visitors cannot upload, edit or publish through this website.
